I need food ideas that would compliment a construction themed birthday party. The cake is going to have dirt (cookie crumbles), trucks, rocks, etc. I am helping her plan and I needThe menu consisted of construction worker sack lunches with their names on them for all the kids and grilled tires (burgers) for the adults. All side dishes and condiments were served in the dump beds of new Tonka dump trucks. Punch was served from a large yellow cooler like the ones seen at construction sites (I really dont think you will find specifics as far as food goes but I think it is the presentation of the table it is on and what it is served in, i.e. The dump trucks as mentioned earlier.
Put chips in the upside consruction hat. Put some cheese cut in blocks in the scoop of a digger truck. Have some small constructions cones on the table, flashing light, construction signs.
You stupid memes. Construction cookie cutters: Make cookies, shaped rice crispy bars. Shindigz party site says use the cookie cutters to make shaped sandwiches. Dump truck lollipop molds: Just melt some milk cholcolate block from the grocery store in the microwave or on the stove. Spoon in, freeze no more than 10 minutes, put in lollipop bag and tie with tie they always come with. From birthday in a box: Purchase empty paint cans at a hardware store, and use them to serve chips, Traffic Light Snacks - Frost graham crackers or other rectangular-shaped cookies with yellow icing. Add one red, green, and yellow M&M or gumdrop down the center to make traffic light snacks. Hope this helps.
I have a bunch of really old computer game titles, but none of them work on my new Windows 7 system as they are so old. Is there somewhere I can download a working modern copy of theNo. You could buy the games again off GOG.com or similar sites (they'd probably be about $5 each) but there's nowhere to just download old games for free, legally. What you should do is look for fan-made patches. They'll patch the game up to run on modern systems, and you can even find ones that'll add content, or update the graphics, or even just run in wide-screen mode. Just do some googling.
For lesser-known games like Tonka Construction you might be SOL, but for games like Earthworm Jim and Mechwarrior 2, I'm sure you can find something. Lastly, you should definitely just try running those games in compatibility mode. Right click on the game executable and click on the 'run in compatibility mode' box, then select whatever operating system the game was originally designed for (Windows 98, etc) that might work. My son has come to like Tonka's Chuck and Friends. And I think that would be a great birthday theme! But im having such a hard time finding party supplies for this. Can any oneWell the sources on the bottom show some layouts and products themselves to obtain. Happy birthday to your son by the way.:) Torrent King.
http://compare.ebay.com/like/9. My son will be 2 next month and we're trying to decide on the best gift for him.
Were on a budget, though, but still want to get him something nice. He loves: ClimbingMy first pick would be a big, yellow, Tonka dump truck! Fun for playing in the dirt outside or for hauling his toys around the house inside, and he can use up some of that toddler energy using his whole body to push it around!
It is also sturdy enough to last him for the next few years and not something he'll outgrow quickly; he'll probably enjoy playing with it all the way to kindergarten and maybe beyond. You could always use the truck like a gift basket and fill the bed with a few smaller gifts, like a sturdy play ball for outside, a plastic construction hat, a stuffed Elmo, and a picture book about construction/trucks.
Ok, I'm looking for ideas for movies, books, or anything thing else that would be good to get my 2 1/2 year old son. He loves to read, play play-doh (which he has some). His fav.How Do Dinosaurs.? There are several books that start like this that he might like. Wooden blocks. My son uses the blocks from the game Jenga to make roads for his vehicles and we play the game when we want to also. Lego duplo is good too as mentioned by someone else.
There are musical instrument sets for two and three year olds. Hot wheels are always a hit. Animal figures, Toot and Puddle books, Real Trains for kids DVDs, Real Wheels DVDs, construction vehicles, a huge tonka dumptruck, leapfrog magnetic fridge letters, stuffed animal snakes and dinosaurs,-that's all I can think of at the moment.
Tonka Toys Look Books Mini Catalogs Brochures Instruction SheetsSears and Roebuck had their Wish Book. Tonka Toys had their Look Book. As a means of informing the consumer of the various models offered in the Tonka toy line, Tonka began to include a small catalog with each of their packaged toys. The consumer catalog or Look Book was basically a much smaller version of the catalog Tonka sent to toy retailers for them the use to make their decisions on which Tonka truck they wanted to put on their shelves.Tonka issued their first Look Book in late 1953. Tonka continued to pack the very popular mini catalog with their new toys through the mid 1970's. A little known fact: Tonka did not publish a Look Book in 1971. Tonka was going through a downturn in business and to cut costs, decided to carryover the 1970 Look Book into 1971.
Also of note: from 1953 through 1970 - 1971, the Tonka Look Book listed all models manufactured by Tonka and available to the consumer. Beginning in 1972, Tonka Look Books just included a sampling of the models offered in the various series.Featured below are the covers of Tonka Look Books issued from 1953 through 1975, Tonka's classic years.
