Class of Heroes 2 is a first-person dungeon crawler rpg with similar gameplay to games like the Wizardy series. It returns much more improved than the original Class of Heroes while staying true to its roots. (Spoilers). Info on the new companion in Far Harbor.Minor TipsHow to get to Far Harbor and start: There is no minimum level for a character to being the Far Harbor DLC! You must have made it to Diamond City and met Nick Valentine, and if so you will get a quest called Far From Home. Use the Pip-boy to listen to Valentine Detective Agency Radio to learn more. Know that you do not need to track down Valentine to do this quest, nor are you required to take him with you. However, doing so will result in special dialog that persists throughout the entirety of the DLC - so it's not a bad idea. If you cannot find Nick Valentine and are on PC, you can use the player.moveto 2f25 in order to teleport to him.

It is likely he is at one of your early settlements if you didn't just leave him at the Valentine Detective Agency.Different EndingsThere are peaceful and violent endings based upon your actions in Far Harbor. At first, I will pursue a peaceful ending for my walkthroughs then go back and see how horrible I can make the lives of its citizens. Keep this in mind when reading my walkthrough, though for the moment things do not seem to branch out at least until you've met Kasumi.RushingIt's suggested you do not rush through the Main Quest in Far Harbor. Some side quests will disappear if you do so, though it's not clear at exactly which points. You may also have more influence over factions if you help them, and your words will carry more weight with residents of any of the three factions. This is especially helpful during key moments. There are many more skill checks than in the base game - which has like 2.

There are also speech checks that can alter outcomes, so having charisma gear to wear in safe areas when talking to people will help, as will any drugs that raise Charisma. That is, if you don't want to quickload to try repeatedly and 'cheat'.StorageDon't bring too much with you, just your best gear and some meds to help with radiation. It may not occur to some players, so I'd like to point out that you can safely store crafting materials inside Far Harbor's armor/weapons/power armor workbenches if you do not want to travel back to the Commonwealth. The FogThe safer areas of 'The Fog' will give you 1 Rad/sec and drain your max life at 1% per ten seconds. It's unsafe to walk around in a Hazmat Suit given its low damage resistance and the might of the enemies you'll be facing. The fog does not put out immense radiation, so Rad-X can help you to survive it without Power Armor. If you're a Power Armor user, you have little to worry about. Other ideas are to mod your armor with leaded, which will raise rad resist, as well as put on a gas mask/helm combo that provide radiation resistance.Fast Travel Back to CommonwealthLook to your map near the Far Harbor town, and you'll see an icon you can click that returns you to the Commonwealth.

From the Commonwealth, look to th very top right of the map for an icon that lets you travel back to Far Harbor.Map of Far HarborThe Island is quite large. Far Harbor itself is the town where you'll begin, with plenty of area to explore to the west and south. This is a shot of the map zoomed out via a mod, so it is by no means small. In fact, it's large and varied.

This displays the points of interest you will receive from getting the Islander's Almanac early in the DLC. About the Far Harbor DLCThe Far Harbor DLC introduces many little things to the core gameplay, but also introduces a large landmass and many quests and things to discover.

Exploring the Island is up to you so I will not post direct spoilers here. There's a proper faction category for Children of Atom, and an excellent story for which you will want to bring Nick Valentine to fully experience. Bethesda has once again given the ability to take one of a few sides in your questing with no obvious good guys and some great characters (including a new fully-featured Companion), added perk ranks for one each of SPECIAL, new weapon types, new legendary affixes and a few unique weapons to be found. It's a great addition to what was already an awesome game. Many of the new additions translate well to the base game, and it gives you alternate endings to its main quest to enhance replayability.

It's entirely possible to be evil in your choices, and features some skill checks too! It's a strong sign Bethesda have listened to the community, and it's definitely worth the $25 given the quality and level of additions. Far Harbor TrailerIf you haven't already seen it, here is the official Far Harbor trailer: SpoilersI will not disclose story details here or on any other page I create for Far Harbor, however if you don't want ANY spoilers I suggest you leave the page. Massive New Area: Quests and Story The Children of Atom and Synths will both play a role in the Far Harbor Main QuestFar Harbor takes place in a locale off the coast of Maine, and has been described as the largest DLC area that Bethesda have made for an addon. It is rough, rugged, and dangerous. The previously underutilized Children of Atom will be prominent in the story, and the Sole Survivor will help a village to deal with a conflict between them, the Children of Atom, and Synths.

This new land holds many secrets. Characters, monsters, and quests. Far Harbor's New Weapons The new Harpoon Gun and Lever-Action Rifle that can be found in Far HarborLike the video above if you appreciate their display of all the new weapon types in Far Harbor.

For players who don't want to spoil everything by seeing them in action we are able to find the following:. Harpoon Gun. Radium Rifle. Lever-Action Rifle.

Floor

Meat and Pole Hooks for Melee. Atom's Judgment, which appears to function like a super sledge and is likely gained from completing a quest in the Far Harbor quest chain. In addition to these, there are several new legendary affixes that can appear on weapons. New Armor, Hats, and Clothing Marine Armor is the most powerful form of Combat Armor and the strongest type of armor that is not Power Armor.Far Harbor offers some nice new clothing options, all of which fit the setting - such as fisherman's hats and coveralls. New hats are welcome, especially if we can use the new lobster trap helmet or diving suit with ballistic weave.

Hopefully it comes with enough base damage resistance to be usable at high levels if it can't. However, we will also be able to use new forms of armor that are definitely suited for combat. New Marine Armor is featured, and it looks absolutely badass compared to a suit of regular combat armor. Evidently, we can look like we're wearing light power armor, which will be especially exciting for me given my distaste for Power Armor in general. New Creatures and Enemies New types of Ghouls, the Angler enemy, and GulperThere is a new angler fish enemy, Fog Crawlers, which resemble mirelurks but are evidently much more lethal. New Ghoul variants are not that exciting, however there's also a new lizard-type enemy to encounter called the gulper (pictured above).

All in all there appear to be at least 5 new types of creatures, with leveled variants just like all other types in the game, which allows them to level up with you and grow more dangerous. This means Far Harbor will be challenging no matter what level you pursue its quests.

Other DLC AdditionsA new Companion, Longfellow, who is fully featured and can travel the Commonwealth with you. You're able to get a special Companion Perk from him should you max affinity which reduces damage and energy resistance of certain creatures by a huge 25%.

There's also a New Magazine Type: Islander's Almanac. This gives the player some recipes to be used with the meat and other things dropped by the new enemies.

Vendors in Far Harbor do sell a few unique items, of note a Recon Marine Helmet for 12k caps, and an 'Admiral's Friend' Harpoon that deals double damage if the target is at full health, for at most 1500 caps. Both very nice, and the harpoon is substantially more affordable.New Perk Ranks with Far HarborIt's not 100% clear if this is a DLC feature or an update everyone got. Several have had additional ranks added to them, one from each of the SPECIAL categories. More Fallout 4 GuidesShare Tips and Strategies Below.
